O' Lord
Day 34
Today we want to talk about accusing others of wrong doing, when you yourself are sinning even more than the one you are accusing. We are all guilty of this, even myself. Growing up in the south, we are all quick to accuse someone else, elevate yourself and put the other person down. This is not new, even Jesus dealt with this many times in the Bible. Pharisees and Saduccees were constantly trying to trap Jesus into approving their actions. People today are no different, trying to manipulate you into approving their lifestyles, even causing you to sin in the process. God gives us ample opportunity to turn from our sins. If you read the Word of God, and the Word stings you, then in your Spirit, you are convicted of your sin. Make yourself right with God, this is how the process works. God loves us because He is our Father, and he corrects us because He loves us and only wants the best for us. Make no mistake, there are consequences to our actions, so either we make amends with God now, or we will face the consequences of our sin before God in judgement. And His judgement is final. Make your peace with God now while you still have time.
Today our song is a great example of this, O' Lord by Lauren Daigle.
Scripture for Today
So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” 8 And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. 9 Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10 When Jesus had raised Himself up [i]and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?”
11 She said, “No one, Lord.”
And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”
12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
John 8:7-12 NKJV
Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father Lord Jesus, Forgive Me Lord for accusing others, for speaking out against those who I disagree with, or those that I find fault with, even though I have even more faults. Forgive me Lord for not showing them love or compassion. Please help me Lord to be more like You. Help me Father to remember Your words, Judge not lest Ye be Judged.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen.
