I Can't

Get Away

Day 18

There are days when we simply have had enough, and you just need to go find a place to be alone. Many of us need time to relax, unwind, find a quiet place to just get away. There are many times even in the Bible, that Jesus just needed a break and went off alone to pray. Noise can be a distraction and too much noise just seems to cause a sensory overload. As Christians, we are encouraged to find a quiet place, a prayer closet, or simply a private place in a Garden. I myself have gone to the middle of my family farm near an old pond to talk to God and find my quiet place. But in those quiet private places, God is still there, he is omnipotent, omnipresence, and omniscient. He is in everything and everything is Him.

Today's song reminds us of all this and more. I Can't Get Away by Melissa Helser.

Scripture for Today

Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, or darkness is as light to you. Psalm 139:7-12 NIV

Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father Lord Jesus, Thank You Lord for meeting me in the private quiet places. Thank You Lord for always being there waiting for me. Lead me in Your Ways Oh Lord!

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen.
